After serving four years as an Assistant District Attorney in Kings County, Michael entered civil practice where he concentrated in complex civil litigation defense, including toxic torts, products liability, construction and labor law liability, premises liability and professional liability, emphasizing legal malpractice, health care professionals and accounting malpractice.  Michael received a Juris Doctorate from Vermont Law School in 1989 after receiving a Bachelor of Arts from Franklin & Marshall College in 1985.  Michael is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
