Dean concentrates in the representation of insurers in insurance coverage litigation at both the trial and appellate levels. Dean also has significant insurance defense experience with an emphasis on professional liability (attorneys, insurance brokers and agents, and accountants), automobile liability, life insurance, and general liability issues. Dean has served as direct counsel to insurance companies in catastrophic injury, and coverage cases throughout the United States. Dean has been a guest lecturer and presented seminars on insurance coverage and defense issues to insurance companies, professional and trade organizations such as the American Bar Association – Tort and Insurance Practice Section, and the American Association of Managing General Agents University. Dean is also a member per invitation to The Council on Ethical Billing, and has been approved by the State of New York Education Department to teach Continuing Legal Education Courses. Dean received a Juris Doctorate from the American University, Washington College of Law in 1986, after receiving a Bachelor of Arts from Miami University (Ohio) in 1983. Dean is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
